A man starts his job with the certain monthly salary and earns a fixed increment every year if his salary was Rupees 1500 after 4 years of service and rupees 1800 after 10 year of service what was the starting salary and what is the annual increment

Now,

x + 3y = 1500
x + 9y = 1800

=> - 6 y = - 300

So,

y = 50 ................ ( 1 )

By (1),

x + 3(50) = 1500
