Answer:

Man travveld total distace  = 22 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total distance travelled by a man (D) = X

∴Distance trvelled by coach Dc = (2/11) X

&

Distance travelled by Train Dt = (17/22) X

∴ Total distace traveled by train and coach

Dc + Dt = (2/11)X + (17/22) X

∴ Dc + Dt = (21/22)X

∴ Remaining distace of the total journey Dw = D - (Dc + Dt)

∴ Dw = X - (21/22)X

∴ Dw = (1/22) X .... (1)

But the remaining distance travelled is given as 1km by walk

∴ Dw = 1  .... (2)

From 1 & 2 we get

(1/22) X = 1

∴ X = 22 km

Man travveld total distace  = 22 km

Answer:

22 km

Step-by-step explanation:

A man travelled 2/11 of his journey by coach,17/22 by rail and walked the remaining 1 km .How far did he go?

Let say total journey was  J km

Travelled by coach = (2/11) J = 2J/11

Travelled by Rail = (17/22)J = 17J/22

By walk = 1 km

Total journey = J  = 2J/11 + 17J/22 + 1

multiplying by 22

22J = 4J + 17J + 22

=> J = 22

total journey = 22 km
