Hi ,

Let the total distance = x km

Distance travelled by train = 2x/5km

Distance travelled by taxi = x/3 km

By bus = x/6km

On foot = 10km

2x/5 + x/3 + x/6 + 10 = x

( 12x+ 10x + 5x + 300) /30 = x

27x + 300 = 30x

300 = 30x - 27x

300 = 3x

300/3 = x

100 = x

x = 100 km

Total distance = x = 100km

I hope this helps you.

Let the total length of the journey be 'x' km. the

So, distance travelled by train=2/5x km

Distance travelled by taxi=1/3x

Distance travelled by bus=1/6x

Distance travelled on foot=10 km

ATQ:-

2/5x+1/3x+1/6x+10=x

2/5x+1/3x+1/6x-x+10=0

-1/10x+10=0

10=1/10x

10×10=x

100=x

So, the length of total journey travelled is 100 km
