Answer: 30 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 'd' be the distance he has cycled@12 kmph.

So, (36.4 - d) would be the distance he has [email protected] kmph.

He covers a total distance  in 4.5 hours ,

thus 4.5 hr = time taken to walk + time taken to cycle

  Time taken to walk = (36.4 - d)/3.2

Time taken to cycle = d/12

  Hence, (36.4 - d)/3.2 + d/12 = 4.5

 Solving for d, we get d = 30 km.
