A man uses 1/3 of his land for growing mangoes,1/4 for bananas,3/8 for apples and remaining18 hectares for oranges.how much does he have?how much land does he used for growing apples

Let the land be x.

The land used for growing mangoes = x/3
The land used for growing apples = 3x/8
The land used for growing bananas = x/4

the land remaining is x- x/3- 3x/8 - x/4 = 18
solving this we get the value of x as 432

thus land he owns is 432hectares and the one used for apples is 162 hectares.
