According to the Question:-

x/y = k (constant)

By cross multiplication,

➵ 100x = 3500 × 3

➵ x = (3500 × 3)/100

➵ x = 35 × 3

➵ x = 105

➽ x = 1 hr 45 mins.

∴ The man will take 105 minutes to complete 3.5 km.
