We have,

  • To determine distance covered by man in journey of 1{1/2} hours, if his speed is constant(Provided here)

Here,

  • Distance convered in 1 hour = 3{3/4} km

Therefore,

 \large \dag \: \: \text{Required Covered distance}  \\ \boxed{\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \bf => Speed \times Time\:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \: } \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \tt= >  3 \frac{3}{4}  \times 1 \frac{1}{2}  \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \tt= > \frac{15}{4}  \times  \frac{3}{2}  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{45}{8} \:  \:    = 5 \frac{5}{8}  \: \:  km

Thus,

  • A man who walks 3{3/4} km in 1 hour, will go 5{5/8} km in 1{1/2} hours.

☆☆ Something You Should Know》

  • Speed = {Distance/Time}
  • Distance = Speed × Time
  • Time = {Distance/Speed}
  • 1 km -- 1000 metres
  • 1 hour -- 60 minutes or 3600 seconds.
