SOLUTION

A is the side of square & 2 ×A is the diagonal of the square lot.

Distance to be covered by walking along edges= 2× A

Distance when walking diagonal=2× A

=) Distance saved by walking along diagonal= 2× A -2× A= (2-2)

Percentage% = (2-2)/2×A× 100

=) (2-2)/2× 100

=) 29.30%

=) 30% (rounded to nearest integer)

hope it helps ☺️
