Answer:

20Km

Step-by-step explanation:

let distance travelled by train is T Km

then it's given that

10km + T Km + 2T Km= 70 Km

Solving above equation yields you T= 20 Km

which is the distance travelled by the train

Given :

A man walks 10 km, then travels a certain distance by train and then by bus as far as twice by the train.

To Find :

If the whole journey is of 70km, how far did he travel by train?

Solution:

Distance traveled by man initially = 10 km

Let x be the distance traveled by train = x

We are given that man traveled as far as twice by the train.

Distance traveled by train = 2x

Distance of whole journey = 70 km

So, 10+x+2x=70

10+3x=70

3x=60

x=20

Distance traveled by train = 2x=2(20)=40 km

Hence He traveled 40 km  by train✅
