Answer:

Journey by bus+Journey by train=Total journey done by bus and train

x+2x=70−10

3x=60

x=20

2x=40

So the distance traveled by train is 40km

Answer:

Let the man travels by bus be x.

and the man travels by train be 2x.

So, according to the question if the man walks for 10km out of the total journey then it means the remaining journey is done by bus and train out of the total journey i.e 70km.

Thus,

Journey by bus+Journey by train=Total journey done by bus and train°

=x+2x=70−10

=3x=60

=x=20

=2x=40

Therefore,the distance traveled by train is 40km.
