AB2+BC2=AC2

 {7}^{2}  +  {3}^{2}  =  {ac}^{2}

AC=√65

man walks 7km towards north and 3km due east.

Hence, after solving it by pythagoras theorem.We get distance covered by man is

 \sqrt{65 }  = 8.06

ans=8.06km
