Answer:

0.9 kmph

Step-by-step explanation:

In first case

Speed = Distance / Time

= 6 km / (1 hr 40 min)

= 6 km / (1 hr + 40/60 hr)

= 6 km / (1 hr + 2/3 hr)

= 6 km / (5/3 hr)

= [6 × 3/5] kmph

= 18/5 kmph

In second case

Speed = Distance / Time

= 6 km / (1 hr + 20 min)

= 6 km / (1 hr + 20/60 hr)

= 6 km / (1 hr + 1/3 hr)

= 6 km / (4/3 hr)

= [6 × 3/4] kmph

= 18/4 kmph

Difference in speed = 18/4 kmph - 18/5 kmph

= [18 × (1/4 - 1/5)] kmph

= [18 × (5/20 - 4/20)] kmph

= [18 × 1/20] kmph

= 9/10 kmph

= 0.9 kmph
