speed of the man, u = 4 km/hr = 10/9 m/s

speed of the train, v = 55/9 m/s

length of the train, b = x metre

length of the man, a = 0 metres

time taken by the train to cross the man = (a+b)/(u-v) seconds

therefore,  (0+x)/[(10/9)+(55/9)] = 30

x/(45/9)= 30

x/5 = 30

x = 150

therefore the length of the train = 150 metres
