we have to find the speed in this so,
we know that = speed = distance / time
= total distance / total time
= 15 + 5 / 1+1 = 20 / 2
= average speed = 10 km/h
we know that = speed = distance / time
= total distance / total time
= 15 + 5 / 1+1 = 20 / 2
= average speed = 10 km/h

Speed = distance/time
In first case,
5 = d1/t1
∴ d1 = 5t1
In second case,
15 = d2/t2
∴ d2 = 15t2
As the distance traveled is same d1=d2
∴ 5t1 = 15t2
∴ t1 = (15/5)t2
∴ t1 = 3t2
Average speed = (total distance traveled)/(total time taken to cover the distance)
∴ Average Speed = (d1+d2)/(t1+t2)
= (5t1 + 15t2)/(t1+t2)
Replacing t1 = 3t2
= (5(3t2) + 15t2)/(3t2 + t2)
= (15t2 +15t2)/4t2
= 30t2/4t2
= 15/2 or 7.5
The average speed is 7.5 km/hr
