EVALUATION

Let present age of son = x years

Since the man was 30 years old when his son was born

So present age of the man = ( x + 30 ) years

So by the given condition

4x = x + 30

⇒ 4x - x = 30

⇒ 3x = 30

⇒ x = 10

Hence the son is 10 years old now
