A man weighing 60kg is standing on the floor of an elevator. Calculate the force exerted by the man when the elevator is ascending at the rate of 2m/s-2

Force exerted by man on the floor of elevator will be equal to the normal reaction that gives the apparent weight

so, Wapp.  =  m(g+a) =   60 (10+2 )  =  720 N
