Answer:

4 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the remaining distance to be covered be x

so, 2/9 x + x = 11km

x(2/9+1)=11

x(11/9)=11

x=9km

distance covered =2/9 x = 2km

Speed = distance covered / time taken

= 2km/30min

=2km/0.5h

=4km/h

Solution :-

Let us assume that the remaining distance is x km .

So,

→ (2/9) of remaining distance = (2/9) * x = (2x/9) km .

then,

→ Total distance = 11 km

→ (2x/9) + x = 11

→ (2x + 9x)/9 = 11

→ (11x/9) = 11

→ 11x = 11 * 9

→ x = 1 * 9 = 9 km .

therefore,

→ Distance covered by man = (2/9) of x = (2/9) * 9 = 2 km .

→ Time taken = 30 minutes = (30/60) = (1/2) hour .

hence,

→ Speed = Distance / Time

→ Speed = 2/(1/2) = 2 * (2/1) = 4 km/h (Ans.)

Hence, speed of man is 4 km/h .
