a manufacture of tv sets produced 600 sets in the third year and 700 sets in the seventh year. Assuming that the production increases uniformly by a fixed number every year. Find (1)The production in the first year (2)The production in the 10th year (3)The total production in the first 7 years.​

first take

600 = a+(n-1)d

600 = a+(3-1)d

[600 = a+2d] eq 1

similarly

[700 = a+6d] eq 2

now subtract eq 1 from eq2

100=4d

d=25

now put the value of d in either of equation you like to find a

700= a+6×25

a = 550

now we have all the values so we would anwer 1

productin in first year = a+(n-1)d

=550+(1-1) 25

=550

q2 the production in 10th year = a+(n-1)d

=775

q3 sum of products or total production = n/2[2a+(n-1)d]

=7/2[2×550+6×25]
