A manufacturer sells goods to an agent at a profit of 20%. The agent's wholesale price to
the shopkeeper is at a profit of 10% and the shopkeeper retails his goods at a profit of
25%. Find the manufacturing price of the article which is sold by the retailer for 495.​

Let C.P. of the article = Rs.x

Cost for wholesale dealer = Rs.x.(1+10/100) = Rs.1.1x.

Cost for a shopkeeper = Rs. 1.1 x.(1+20/100) = Rs.(1.32)x

Cost for a customer =Rs.(1.32x).(1–15/100) = Rs. (1.32x).(0.85) , accordingly:-

(1.32).x.(0.85) = 56100.

or. x= (56100×100×100)/(132×85) = Rs.50000. Answer.
