❍ Given :-

Measure of matchbox :-

  • Length = 4 cm
  • Breadth = 2.5 cm
  • Height = 1.5 cm

We know that,

\sf \fbox{→Volume = l \times b \times h}

 \sf → Volume = 4 × 2.5 × 1.5

 \sf → \fbox \red{Volume = 15 {cm}^{3}}

Now, Volume of 1 matchbox = 15cm³

❍ Given :-

Measures of cardboard box :-

  • Length = 40 cm
  • Breadth = 30 cm
  • Height =24 cm

\sf \fbox{→Volume = l \times b \times h}

\tt →Volume = 40 \times 30 \times 24

\tt →\fbox \red{Volume = 28800 {cm}^{3}}

Therefore the number of such packets can be placed a cardboard box are,

\tt = \dfrac{Volume \: of \: cardboard \: box}{Volume \: of \: one \: matchbox}

\tt = \dfrac{28800}{15} {cm}^{3}

\tt  = \fbox \green{1920 \: packets}

Hence, 1920 packets can be placed in the cardboard box.
