Given that length of a matchbox = 4cm.

Given that breadth of the matchbox = 2.5cm.

Given that height of the matchbox = 1.5cm.

We know that volume = l * b * h

                                     = 4 * 2.5 * 1.5

                                     = 15cm^3.

So, the volume of the 1 matchbox = 15cm^3.

Given that volume of the packet containing 6 such matchbox = 6 * 15

                                                                                                        = 90cm^3.

Given that length of the cardboard box = 60cm.

the height of the cardboard box = 30cm

the breadth of the cardboard box = 24cm.

Volume of the cardboard box = l * b * h

                                                  = 60 * 30 * 24

                                                  = 43200cm^3.

Therefore the number of such packets can be placed in a cardboard box:

= 43200/90

= 480 packets.

Hope this helps!
