A medicine capsule is in the shape of a cylinder with two hemispheres stuck to each of its ends .The length of the entire capsule is 14 mm and the diameter of the capsule is 5 mm. Find its surface area. (use =227).

surface area of hemisphere= 2πr^2

r = 5÷2

= 2.5 mm

area = 6.25 × 2π

= 39.27 mm^2

area of cylinder = 259.18

therefore total area of capsule =
