Answer: My family have always been the best thing that happen to me, and no matter how much time we spend together every time has its special place. One of the special moments that come to my mind is when my cousin Seidy Ordonez had her fifteenth birthday; it was a remarkable day my family, and I will always remember. My family consists in outgoing people, all the member of the family love to go out and party. When my family makes a party they always make mexican food, That is the reason i like partying with them all the time.
The day my cousin turned fifteenth, it was a day of joy. Every person in the family was full with happiness in their heart, but ill I could think about is to be full of food on my stomach. All I could see around the place was those incredible plates; each member had brought different ingredients but pure Mexican style. All of a sudden I felt like if I was in heaven, but this time instead of angels I was surrounded by food. Posole is my favorite food, and I could not take my eyes away from this exquisite food.
Another reason I like when my family makes a party is because I get to spend time with family from other countries, in every party I always meet a new family member I had never met before. After the tradition ceremony and the daughter and father dance finally is time to eat some delicious food I been craving all day long. When I moved to United States and left my country behind; I also left a few part of the Mexican culture. Is nice to taste a food from your country at least once in a while, it feels like going back in time and being on the country you were raised on.
After eating a few plates of food finally the time to spend and talk to the family has come, everyone starts sharing their feelings on how happy they are for the birthday girl. The birthday girl with all the happiness showing on her face makes her look so beautiful, and the family makes her feel special as well like if there would not be a next day. At this part of the party when everyone has finish eating everyone starts to dance with the birthday girl. Is a night full with happiness and surprises, one of the surprises were that my cousin was given as a gift her first car. In my opinion it was a beautiful car, a Mustang Cobra 2006. But not as beautiful as the food I had tasted before, I never find out who had made food. But I know it was the best food I’ve ever tasted in my entire life, including when I use to live in Mexico. Maybe some one else could think that is just regular food, but they do not see it the way I do. Only people who had move from the place they were raised on to go live to a foreign country could understand what I am talking about. Seeing someone cook Mexican food, or eating makes me feel like I am back on my country. That is why Mexican food is my favorite food.
After the party, which was an awesome one by the way. Food, dance, and happy people all over the party. Posole, cabrito, and other kind of Mexican food were available to eat what else could I ask for that day.
At the end when the people start leaving, the closest family to the birthday girl went to her house. The moment we spend in her house is to make her feel that her day has not end yet, we still have the rest of the night to finish with something special.
Since all the family has been dancing all day long is time to relax, we watched some movies, eat some popcorn and talk about a special moment that happened during the party.
Sometimes we even see the video of the party that same night, sometimes we wait until a few time past by so we could go ahead and remember how good the day was.
I took video of the food as well, for the reason I am still looking who was the cook of the delicious food I devour that night.
I hope next party we get together is as fun as the fifteenth birthday of my cousin Seidy, and some good Mexican food as well. The food is the main reason why I like to go the family’s party, I always taste incredible food and get to spend time with the ones I love.
