A metal ball of mass 60 g falls on a concrete floor from a vertical height of 2.8m and rebounds to a height of 1.3 m. Find the change in K.E. in S.I. units.

Metal ball mass =60g=0.06kg
So v^2=u^2+2gh=0+2*9.8*2.8=54.88
V=7.40m/s
Now KE =1/2mv^2=(.060*7.40*7.40)/2=1.6 joule
Now in second step
Mass =0.060,h=1.3m
V^2=2*9.8*1.3=5.04m/s
KE=1/2*0.060*5.04*5.04=0.76joule
Difference =1.6-0.76=0.84 joule
