length=12cm=0.12m

width=w=10cm=0.1m

height=h=8cm=0.08m

(a) area of largest face=length×width

area=0.12×0.1=0.012m²

so Pressure=P=mg/area

P=40×9.8/0.012

P=32666 pa

(b) area of smallest face=width×height

area=0.1×0.08=0.008m²

so, Pressure=P=mg/area

P=40×9.8/0.008

P=49000 pa
