a) Hydrogen gas( Because sulphuric acid has hydrogen and highly reactive metals can displace it).
b)Collect the evolved gas by passing it through a delivery tube and then through soap soution to get bubbles
c)Soluble.
d)Lighter because its atomic mass(1u) is less than that of air.

For understanding this Refer pg 19 of ncert.
Hope my ans is correct.

i) Hydrogen gas, because when metal react with acid, it forms salt and hydrogen gas.                                                                                                         Metal+Acid -- Salt+H2
ii)Downward displacement of water.
iii) Insoluble in water
iv) the gas H2 is lighter than air

Shivansharora: Yes, and in57 no water
Shri2002: yes
Shivansharora: 3.2.3
Shivansharora: Similar
Shivansharora: But hcl is used
Shivansharora: Pg 43,44
Shri2002: no heating is done
Shivansharora: Adding diagram of pg 43 and solution of of 44
Shivansharora: Hence proved
