A metal is heated with dilute sulphuric acid.the gas evolved is collected by the method shown in the figure.a)Name the gas.b)name the method of collection of gas c)is the gas soluble or insoluble in water.d)is the gas lighter or heavier than air.please tell that this question is from which chapter as in meritnation,it was in chemical reaction and equations but I am unable to find it in NCERT and lakhmir sigh also.pls help

a) Hydrogen gas( Because sulphuric acid has hydrogen and highly reactive metals can displace it).
b)Collect the evolved gas by passing it through a delivery tube and then through soap soution to get bubbles
c)Soluble.
d)Lighter because its atomic mass(1u) is less than that of air.
For understanding this Refer pg 19 of ncert.
Hope my ans is correct.

i) Hydrogen gas, because when metal react with acid, it forms salt and hydrogen gas. Metal+Acid -- Salt+H2
ii)Downward displacement of water.
iii) Insoluble in water
iv) the gas H2 is lighter than air
