A metal solid cylinder has diameter 9cm and length 16cm. How many small balls of 0.3cm radius can be made from the sphere?

Answer:

r= 9/2 cm

h=16 cm

vol of cylinder = pi*r^2*h

                        = pi*81/4*16

vol of sphere =4/3 pi *r ^3

                        =4/3 *pi*0.3*0.3*0.3

no of balls=vol of cylinder/ vol of 1 sphere

 on dividing both we get,

=9000 balls
