Rusting of iron can be prevented by adding metals like tin etc. on it. It can be prevented by Galvanisation process. In this process zinc is deposited on iron to prevent it from rusting. Adding layer of zinc on iron don't let water and oxgen to go in. When water falls on iron with zinc it slides down. In this way iron dont get rusted.Zinc is a metal which is very useful for preventing rusting. Oxygen and water are very important for rusting process. But metal like zinc don't allow water and oxygen to rust the iron. Zinc, a metal is found in paint and grease. Usually people paint the gates of their houses made from iron. You have seen that iron gates of parks or farmlands, iron benches kept in lawns and gardens, almost every article of iron is rusted because metals like tin, zinc, chromium etc. are not applied on these articles. So it is better to apply metals on things made with iron. If anybody will not do this iron will be rusted by getting in contact with oxygen and water present in our environment.
