A metallic loop is placed in a uniform steady magnetic field, will there be an induced emf in the loop ? What if the magnetic field is uniform?

For induced emf to develop in a coil, the magnetic flux through it must change. But in this case, the number of magnetic lines of force through, the coil is not changing. Therefore emf will not induce.
