a metallic plate having mass =2kg and acceleration=0,is stationary in mid air due to bullet strike with gun on metal plate with velocity v=5m/s.how many bullets one should shot to make metal plates stationary in air?

here required mass of bullet. one more condition that bullet pass the disc or return back?

as the momentum is being changing due to striking of bullet with metal plate
so total momentum change in 1 sec = N2mv
N is no. of bullet
F = change in momentum /t
F = N2mv/1 sec
hence
N2mv=F(m mass of bullet)
and F = Mg(mass of plate)
so
N2mv=Mg(g = 10)
N=2*10/2*m*5
N = 2/m(it is for per second ).
so total momentum change in 1 sec = N2mv
N is no. of bullet
F = change in momentum /t
F = N2mv/1 sec
hence
N2mv=F(m mass of bullet)
and F = Mg(mass of plate)
so
N2mv=Mg(g = 10)
N=2*10/2*m*5
N = 2/m(it is for per second ).
