Radius of sphere = 9cm

volume of sphere = 4/3πr³

=4/3×22/7×9×9×9

= 3054.85cm³

Radius of cylinder = 6cm

volume of cylinder = volume of sphere

πr²h = 3054.85

π × 6×6 × h = 3954.85

πh = 3954.85/36

πh = 84.85

h = 84.85 × 7/22

h = 26.9cm

Answer:

The height of cylinder is 27cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The radius of Metallic sphere=9cm

The Radius of Recasted cylinder=6cm

The volume of metallic sphere is given as

V _{s} =  \frac{4}{3} \pi r {}^{3}

Since,radius is known

V _{s}=  \frac{4}{3}  \times  \pi \times 9 {}^{ 3}  = 972\pi \: cm {}^{3}

Let the height of cylinder='h'cm

The volume of cylinder is given as

V  _{c} = \pi \: r {}^{2} h

Since radius is known,

V _{c} = \pi \times 6 {}^{2}  \times h = 36\pi h \: cm {}^{3}

We know that,

Volume of metallic sphere=Volume of cylinder

Therefore,

972\pi = 36\pi \: h \\  =  =  > h =  \frac{972\pi}{36\pi}  = 27cm

Therefore,the height of cylinder is 27cm
