A metallic washer is of radius 14mm. There is a hole in its centre of radius 2.8mm. Find the area of the washer (take 22/7)

Area of whole
\pi {r}^{2} \\ = \frac{22}{7} \times 14 \times 14 \\ = 616 {mm}^{2}


Area of hole= 22/7*2.8*2.8
»24.64
Area of washer= 616-24.64
»591.36mm²

First we need to find the area of washer =
2 pi r
2 × 22÷7 × 44 = 276.4

secondly we need to find the area of remain
2pir
2 × 22÷7×2.8 =17.6
area = 276.4-17.6 =258.8mm square
