microspore mother cell(microsporocyte) is a diploid cell in plants that divides by meiosis to give rise to four haploidmicrospores (see sporophyll). In flowering plants microspore mother cells are formed within the pollen sacs of the anthers by mitosis; the microspores they produce develop into pollen grains.

A microspore mother cell forms POLLEN GRAINS.

Option B

Explanation:

  • Microspore mother cell is contained in microsporangium of  plant that stays in the anther sac. The Microspore mother cells are covered by a tetra layer covering called epidermis, endodermis, middle layer, and the tapetum.
  • This tapetum is responsible for dehiscence of the anther sac during maturation. Inside the microsporangium, Microspore mother cells divide into four haploid germ cells that are actually modified into the pollen grains by means of a meiotic division.
