As per statement mixture of milk and water are in the ratio 5:1.

The quantity of milk be = 5X litres
Then the quantity of water = X litres

Ratio is = 5X / X
Add 5litres of water, which leads to X + 5
Therefore, Ratio 5X / (X + 5) = 5 / 2
Cross multiply
10X = 5X + 25
10X = 25
X = 25 / 5
X = 5
INITIALLY IN A MIXTURE QUANTITY OF WATER WAS 5 litres AND QUANTITY OF MILK WAS 25 litres.

During second mixture the quantity of milk remains same it is 25 litres but quantity of water changes to (5 + 5) = 10 litres.
