Answer:

for 1st buffalo SP =20000

so when it is sold at profit of 5%

CP + 5%CP =20000

x + 5\%x = 20000

21x \div 20 = 20000

x = 19047.62

for 2nd buffalo also SP=20000

so when it is sold at loss of 10%

CP - 10%CP=20000

y - 10\%y = 20000

9y \div 10 = 20000

y = 22222.23

Now total CP of both buffaloes

x+y= 19047.62 + 22222.22

TCP= 41269.84

and TSP is 40000

so there is an overall loss of 1269.84
