Cost of 50l milk at the rate of ₹ 40/l =
50 * 40 = 2000
Amount of milk formed after mixing water =
50 +5 = 55 l
Cost of 55l milk at the rate of ₹ 42/l = 55 * 42 = 2310
Profit for the dealer = 2310 - 2000 = 310
Profit % =
100 \times \frac{310}{2000}
= 15. 5 %
