The total surface area of tank is  50.24  sq meters

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

A milk tank is in the shape of cylinder with hemisphere of same radii attached to both ends of it .

The height of cylinder tank = h = 6 m

The radius of cylinder tank = r = 1 m

As hemisphere is attached on cylinder , So, radius of hemisphere = r = 1 m

Let The total surface area of tank = A sq m

According to question

The total surface area of tank = curved surface of cylinder + surface are of both hemisphere

Or,  TSA = 2 × π × r × h  + 2 ( 2 × π × r² )

where r is radius

          h is height

Or,  A = 2 × 3.14 × 1 × 6  + 2 ( 2 × 3.14 × 1² )

Or,  A = 37.68 + 2 ( 6.28 )

∴    A = 50.24  m²

So, The total surface area of tank = A = 50.24  m²

Hence, The total surface area of tank is  50.24  sq meters  Answer
