Hi there ❣️

We have to find H.C.F becoz we have to find maximum capacity of a milk.

40 = 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 5 \\ \\ 75 = 3 \times 5 \times 5 \\ \\ common \: factor \: is \: 5 \: so \: answer \: is \: 5

Thanks!!

Answer:

5 liters

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :a milkman has two large containers containing 40 liter and 75 litres of milk, respectively

To Find : what is the maximum capacity of a bucket which can measure the milk of both the containers, in exact number of time ?

Solution:

We need to find HCF of 40 and 75

2 | 40          5 | 75

2 | 20          5 | 15

2 | 10           3 |  3

5 |  5               |  1

  |  1

So, 40 = 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 5

75 = 5 \times 5 \times 3

HCF = 5

Hence  the maximum capacity of a bucket which can measure the milk of both the containers, in exact number of time  is 5 liters .
