Answer:

His profit = 33%

Step-by-step explanation:

The CP of milk is Rs.x per litre and SP is also Rs.x per litre

Now, the man adds 2 litres of water to every 6 litres of mllk.

=> 1 litre of water for every 3 litres of milk

=> 3 litres of milk bought becomes 4 litres of milk sold

We are assuming that there is NO cost of adding water.

Hence, the cost price of 3 litres of  milk becomes the selling price of 4 litres of milk

CP of 3 litres of milk = 3x

SP of 4 litres of milk = 4x

Profit = SP - CP

          = 4x - 3x

          = x

Profit % = 100*(Profit/CP)

             = 100*(x/3x)

              = 100*(1/3)

             = 33.33

The milk man makes a profit of 33.33 per cent
