A min. hand of a clock is 7cm long calculate the distance covered and displacement of min. hand from 9am to9:30am

Explanation:

Distance covered = 1/2 times the circumference of the clock

=> 1/2 * πr² where r = radius of the circle = length of the minute hand

=> distance covered = 1/2 * 22/7 * 7 * 7 = 11 * 7 = 77 cm

Displacement = 2 * radius = 2 * 7 = 14 cm

Therefore distance = 77 cm and displacement =14 cm
