Applying given conditions -

x / (y-4.8) = 1/800

800x = y-4.8 ...(1)

x / (y-6) = 1/400

400x = y-6 ...(2)

Eqn.(1) - eqn.(2)

800x - 400x = y-4.8 -y+6

400x = 1.2

x = 1.2/400

x = 3×10^-3 km

x = 3 m

Therefore, length of the minivan is 3 m.
