A mixture of 40 liters of milk and water contain 10% of water.How much water should be added to this mixture so that the new mixture contain 20% of water?​

Volume of water in the mixture

=(10/100)*40

=4 litres

Let the volume of water to be added be x.

so,

((4+x)/(40+x))*100=20

4+x=(40+x)/5

20+5x=40+x

4x=20

x=5
