2:1 = 60
2x + 1x = 60
3x = 60
x = 60 / 3
x = 20
2*20 = 40
1*20 = 20

the mixture contain 60 litre in the ratio 2:1

let milk be x and water be 2x
according to questions

x+2x=60
3x=60
x=20 litres
so, milk contain 20 litres and water 2×20 =40
now to make reverse
we should add 60 litre to milk to become reverse.
20+60/40=2/1
so the ratio becomes 2/1
