T = shear stress

F = the force applied

A = The cross sectional area.

N = thickness

Again :

Overall shear stress :

Given :

N = 16 kNkn = 16000N

Cross sectional area :

Diameter = 9

radius = 4.5

Area = πr²

3.142 × 4.5² = 63.6255 cm²

Now convert the thickness to cm :

8/10 = 0.8 cm

Doing the substitution :

16000/(63.6255 × 0.8)

= 314.34N/cm³

t=8mm

here SS=F/A=16000/(π.90.8)=7.07N/mm²
