Given:

Mixture of water and milk = 70 L

Water in the mixture = 10% of 70 L = 7 L

Milk = 63 L

To find:

Amount of water added in the mixture to make water  = 12 1/2% of the mixture.

Solution:

Let x water added. Now, Water and Milk ratio will be,

(7 + x)/63 = 12.5/87.5

7 +x = 787.5/87.5

7 + x = 9

x = 2 L.

Hence, the required amount of water is 2 L.
