As we know that, moles (n) = weight (w) / Molar mass (M)
So, if the ration of weight of H2 and O2 is in the ratio 1 : 4, the molar ratio of the two gases will be:
Moles of O2:4/32
Moles of H2:1/2
Therefore, moles of H2/moles of O2 :
0.5 / 0.125= 0.5 x 8 = 4:1
Hence the molar ratio of H2 and O2 is 4 : 1.
