Solution :-

A model of ship is made to scale of 1 : 200. The volume of the model of ship is 200 liters. The volume of ship will be 200 times more than the volume of model of ship. 

Because, bigger size bigger volume. It is the case of direct variation.

Let the volume of the ship be 'x'
.
⇒ 1 : 200 : : 200 : x

⇒ Product of the extremes = 1 × x = x

Product of the means = 200 × 200 = 40000 

x = 40000 liters

So, the volume of the ship is 40000 liters.
