the first line is correct but in the second line i.e., (b) there is a word missing. complete the sentence using only one word in the missing place .

Yeah.. The first line is correct.

Whereas it has some grammatical mistake in line (b).
The required missing letter here is a ptype of participle. And it is "to".

A participle is used to connect and shorten the two sentences.

Thus the correct statement would be

=> " They have many to remember."
