A motor boat covers a certain distance downstream in 30 minutes, while it comes back in 45 minutes. If the speed of the stream is 5 km h what is the speed of the boat in still water

d=vt

D[distance covered]=[1/2][V+5](downstream)

=[3/4][V-5] (upstream)

solving the equation V = speed of boat = 25

in still water = 20 km/h
