a motor car is moving with a velocity of 108km/hrs and it takes 4 seconds stop after brakes applied. find the force exerted by the brakes on the motor car if it's mass along with the passengers is 1000kg

u = 108 km/h => 108×5/18 => 6×5 => 30 m/sv = 0m/st = 4sectherefore , a = (v-u)/t =>a = (0-30)/4 => a = -30/4 => -7.5 m/s²

force = mass × accelerationforce = 1000 kg × (-7.5) m/s²force = -7500 kg m/s²=> force = -7500 N negative sign denotes opposing force
